Jim & Nico Walker

For Jim and Nico the year 2020 represents 20 years of full time missionary service with Youth with a Mission.   During these years, they have raised three beautiful daughters and spent many years in foreign lands seeing people’s’ lives transformed.  Many of those years were spent pioneering programs and supporting local communities in Mexico (building homes for the poor, working with local pastors, orphanages, rehab centers, etc...).  In recent years, they have been committed to see the isolated people on islands and waterways reached with the love of Jesus through YWAMSHIPS.  For two decades they have seen many mountains and valleys; and through it all God has remained faithful.  

Currently Jim is using his acquired leadership skills from the field and his graduate degree to train the next generation to be released into their calling and destiny.  Nico serves on the executive team of YWAMSHIPS, and with her medical background serves the local community at a ywam established urgent care facility.

Their oldest daughter Livia, recently completed ywam training and is planning to attend college beginning this fall.

Emilia is 17 and she is looking forward to her senior year of high school next year.  

Their 15yr old Yanieka is finishing her freshman year of high school.  The girls have had the privilege of attending a very good local Christian school.

Jim and Nico believe everyone is a missionary and that they have simply been given the privilege to serve the Kingdom with Youth with a Mission full time.  It is their heart to live a life of hearing God, obeying, and never giving up.
