Considering Sexual Ethics in Light of a Triune God.

Trinity, Sexuality and Sex Seminar

1 week

August 15-19, 2022

$350*

In this one-week University of the Nations seminar you will have the chance to learn in the worshipful and missional community of YWAM Ships in the heart of Kailua Kona Hawaii. This seminar will look at God as a Triune God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Students will dig deep considering how we as image bearers should then in the light of a Triune God, and specifically what it means to have root sexual ethics in trinitarian theology. Students will gather daily for lecture, worship, intercession, and small group processing. Students will also read a variety of contributing articles related to this topic and have the chance to write a personal reflection on the subject.

We have the absolute privilege of hosting Ross Hastings, Sangwoo Youtong Chee Professor of Theology at Regent College in Vancouver BC Canada as the speaker for this week. Dr Hastings holds two PhDs, one in chemistry and another in theology, and worked as a pastor for 20 years before becoming a professor at Regent. He is also the author of several books on a variety of subjects, including his recent publication, Theological Ethics: The Church’s Integrity in Contemporary Context, portions of which students will read for this seminar. You can learn more about Dr Hastings here, or learn more about Theological Ethics from his Zondervan interview about its release here.

Come join us for this special week of learning, community, and reflection on a topic that so desperately needs a Biblical and Trinitarian perspective.
