Aloha DTS

Fishers of Men

about the course

"Holoholo" in Hawaii means to "go fishing." In Aloha DTS, we believe God has called us to be fishers of men (Matt. 4:19). Starting in Hawai'i and reaching throughout the Pacific, Asia, and beyond, we are committed to sharing the love of Jesus wherever He leads. Rooted in the Polynesian culture of Hawai'i, Holoholo values living in community, championing local people, and learning from the cultures and communities we serve. As Holoholo pioneers a new base in the Philippines and continues ministry throughout places like Thailand and the Pacific, we are passionate about partnering with colleges, schools, and local communities to raise up the next generation of leaders. This 6-month DTS journey is designed to help you grow deeper in your relationship with God, discover your calling, and use your gifts to impact the world around you.

What makes us Unique?

Community

Holoholo Ministries is passionate about championing and empowering local communities wherever we go. Here in Kona, we especially desire to invest in and raise up local leaders through DTS by creating opportunities for discipleship, leadership development, and hands-on ministry within their own communities. We want students to not only serve the island, but to come alongside and encourage the people already carrying the heart and culture of Hawaii. Our staff dynamic is deeply influenced by both Hawaiian and Asian cultures, shaping the way we live in community, honor relationships, and serve together as a family. We are intentional in everything we do to learn, serve, grow, and lead together; walking alongside communities from beginning to end.

Creative Arts

Creative Arts is close to our heart, and something that is ingrained into our evangelistic mission. Whether through dance, song, art or instrument; you’ll have the opportunity to bring God glory and witness to others through your own creative skills and talents. And if it’s not something you’re gifted in, no worries. We all started from scratch.

Servanthood

We believe in order to lead, you must do first then teach just as Jesus did. Our goal is to create an environment where your gifting and skills will flourish as you step out in using them to serve throughout the world going above and beyond to bless others.
