Bibles, Kids, and Ships, Oh My! – Mexico Update

From the crew

May 7, 2017

Our January 2017 Justice DTS Mexico outreach team has been in Mexico for almost five weeks now! They have been staying busy partnering with YWAM Mazatlan and the ministries they run.

On Saturdays the team does Bible distribution. YWAM Mexico has a vision of every home in Mexico having a Bible, so every base in the nation is in charge of distributing Bibles in their area. One Saturday their team and a few others were able to pass out 177 Bibles! One woman they encountered said she had been praying that she would receive a Bible soon because she wanted to read it for herself, and then God answered her prayers through the team and their ministry!

They’ve been busy painting many buildings. They recently completed a church and are now working on the first Christian School in Mazatlan. The team has also been leading Bible studies in a town about 45 minutes away from their base along with leading another study at a girls home.

They’ve been able to partner in a hospital ministry where they bring sandwiches and prayer for the family members waiting outside. They help out many kids with homework through a homework club and do lots of children’s ministry through songs, games, and Bible stories.

The team also had the opportunity to tour and pray over the m/v Amazing Grace, YWAM Ships Mazatlan’s newest vessel.

God is moving though all of the great things the team has been involved with and they are so excited to continue to see Him work in the rest of their time on outreach!
